Since 2004, Country Sky Band was formed as a side project to the popular Chicago based rock band, Underwater People. Since it's inception, Country Sky Band has performed to thousands of people, delivering an entertaining mix of current and classic country music favorites. Based out of Chicago, Illinois, they have performed in a wide variety of venues, including nightclubs, corporate functions, festivals, and large scale concert settings such as the World Amphitheater, Grant Park (Taste of Chicago), U.S. Cellular Field, Miller Stadium in Milwaukee and a main stage appearance at Country Thunder USA.
From 2004 to 2006, Country Sky Band served as the house band at Joe’s Bar in Chicago, a club that in 2006 was nominated as "Nightclub of the year" by the Academy of Country Music.
They have performed as openers for some of the biggest stars in country music, including Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, John Michael Montgomery, Travis Tritt, Emerson Drive, and Lee Greenwood.
The band is made up entirely of professional musicians who have over 80 years of collective experience in performing and entertaining.
Jim DiDomenico (vocals & acoustic guitar), Jacob Sweet (vocals & electric guitar), Erin Branam (vocals & keyboards), Terry Branam (drums, and yes he's married to Erin), and Colin Scott (upright and electric bass).
On special occasions we bring in Simon Sweet (piano and accordian), and Danny Lincoln (banjo and pedal steel guitar) to perform with us as well.
